Continuous yarn bulking machine

VAPORADA is a modern continuous yarn shrinking and bulking machine with independent heads suitable to shrink and bulk a very wide range of hand-knitting yarns with counts from Nm 0.4 to Nm 10.

 

VAPORADA is designed to be linked with all types of cone or cake winders (spirowaps) according to the customer’s choice.

 

Ideally suited for connection to FADIS cone winding machines and TRIAX EVO cake winding machines.

 

PRINCIPLE OF FUNCTIONING:

 

The yarn coming from cones or spools is deposited onto the woven conveyor belt by means of a rotor, which winds the yarn onto a hard anodized aluminium guide and then releases it in coil form onto a conveyor belt that conveys it into the steaming chamber.

 

Here the steam acts on the yarn by shrinking and bulking it.

 

The steam is injected under pressure into the steaming chamber; when the preselected temperature is reached, the electric valve closes the steam inlet.

 

The bulked yarn passes through the cooling zone and then is ready to be wound in balls, cones or cakes (spirowaps).

 

A set of photocells synchronizes our VAPORADA to the cake or cone winding machine.

 

TECHNICAL FEATURES:

 

  • Number of heads: 4.
  • Fully independent heads.
  • Possibility to work with ONE or TWO yarns per track.
  • Yarn deposition by means of a high-speed winder and hard anodized aluminium guides:
    • L60 type guides for yarns from 0.5 Nm to 5 Nm.
    • L46 type guides for yarns from 5 Nm to 10 Nm.
  • 7″ colour touchscreen operator panel where the following parameters can be set:
    • Winding speed, adjustable from 0 to 600 Mt/min.
    • Time of bulking from 20 to 300 sec, according to the characteristics of the yarn.
    • Winder rotation direction (clockwise – counterclockwise).

 

The panel also displays useful messages for the operator, including:

 

  • Alarm messages, chronology of the alarms.
  • Status of Input and outputs of the PLC and the encoders.
  • Functional messages.

 

Selectable languages: Italian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian, French, German.

 

  • Tower lamp that automatically alerts the operator in case of yarn breakage or a general alarm.
  • Program Lock Key.
  • Yarn break control sensors type BTSR IS3-F positioned at the entrance of the winding device.
  • Inlet and outlet creel equipped with yarn tighteners.
  • Pneumatic injection of the yarn.
  • Cone holder with 4 reserve positions.
  • Steaming chamber with a length of 2.7 m, equipped with a double internal heating radiator supplied by steam (HCS device): no water heated by electric resistances, only steam and heat to achieve controlled humidity on the yarn for processing delicate yarns or yarns with high moisture absorption.
  • Pneumatically controlled steam inlet valve with DSV device, designed to automatically remove residual condensate from the steam inlet pipes before steam is introduced into the steaming chamber.
  • Maximum bulking temperature: 98°C at sea level (even at 2000 meters on sea level).
  • Set of yarn cooling fans at the outlet of the steaming chamber (1 fan per track).
  • Set of photocells (one per track) positioned at the end of the conveyor belts, designed to synchronize the steaming unit with the cake or cone winding machine.

  • Electric interface for connection to the cake or cone winding machine for synchronization between the two machines (automatic start/stop) via a multipole plug.
