TRIAX EVO is an innovative soft cake winding machine suitable for winding a very wide range of hand knitting yarns from Nm 0.5 to Nm 5 in big cakes (spirowaps).

 

Triax Evo has been designed to be connected to Vaporada, Rotosteam and Vaporetti continuous yarn bulking machines.

 

The yarn coming from the yarn bulking machine passes through a yarn feeder and is then wound into a large cake weighing over 8 kg (maximum height of the cake over 70 cm).

 

This type of SOFT deposition does NOT STRESS the yarn, which maintains a high-quality level over time.

 

The TRIAX EVO cake winding machine is available in the following versions:

 

• Triax EVO 4×1, suitable to be linked to a 4 head continuous bulking machine with ONE yarn per track.
• Triax EVO 4×2, suitable to be linked to a 4 head continuous bulking machine with TWO yarns per track.
• Triax EVO 5×1, suitable to be linked to a 5 head continuous bulking machine with ONE yarn per track.
• Triax EVO 5×2, suitable to be linked to a 5 head continuous bulking machine with TWO yarns per track.

 

TECHNICAL FEATURES:

 

• Fully independent heads.
• 4.3″ colour touchscreen control panel where the following parameters can be set:
  • Winding speed, adjustable from 10 to 620 mt/min.
  • Cake pattern, adjustable from 20.0 to 99.9.

 

The panel also displays useful messages for the operator, including:

 

• Alarm messages, chronology of the alarms.
• Status of Input and outputs of the PLC and the encoders.
• Functional messages.

 

Selectable languages: Italian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian, French, German.

 

• Tower lamp with acoustic module that automatically alerts the operator when a cake is ready or in case of yarn breakage or slippage, or in the event of a general alarm.
• Activation of heads via a 3-position switch (only for versions configured with 2 yarns per track):
  • Mode 1: both heads of each section are active.
  • Mode 2: the right head is active while the left head is stopped.
  • Mode 3: the right head is stopped while the left head is active.

 

This device allows easy and intuitive selection of the active head in case of end of lot, or when operating with the bulking machine with one yarn per track.

 

WINDING SYSTEM

 

• Lightweight winding structure entirely made of aluminium, sliding on precision recirculating ball guides, in order to avoid friction during cake formation and vibrations during high-speed winding.
• Hardened aluminium winding plate.
• Plexiglass upper plate with copper layer to dissipate static electricity generated during the process.
• Pneumatic lift of the winding structure via pushbutton.
• Adjustable cake pressure: it is possible to control the softness of the cakes (lower pressure = higher quality).
• Adjustable cake height.
• Pneumatic yarn infeed into the winding structure via pushbutton.
• Winding device made of stainless-steel tubes with an internal diameter of 10 mm, also suitable for very thick yarns.
• Winding Plate Thread Detector Device: a sensor (one per head) integrated into the winding structure controls the yarn entering the winding plate and automatically stops the head in case of yarn breakage and/or slippage. The system is highly efficient, with minimal yarn waste.
• Variable cake pattern device via touchscreen panel.
• This improved yarn deposition for each type of yarn results in softer cakes, reduced slippage during the cake winding cycle, and better cake unwinding on the ball-winding machine.

 

FEEDING DEVICE

 

• High-precision yarn feeding device, adjustable via potentiometer.
• Hardened aluminium feed roller coupled with a wear-resistant rubber-coated roller, 50 mm wide.
• Movable yarn guide device designed to improve feed roller traction and significantly reduce wear of the rubber roller.
